The italian disabled athlete Fabrizio Macchi, supported by Pinarello, won two bronze and a silver medal in the Disabled World Cycling Championships which where held in Altenstadt (Germany) between August 4-11. Macchi also got a new world record in the qualifying round of the 3000 metres individual pursuit, setting a time of 3'58"20, beating the previous record of 4'12" set by Swiss rider Schwarzenbach.
