With another tremendous sprint on his Pinarello Dogma, Alessandro Petacchi (Fassa Bortolo) won

his sixth stage at this year's Giro dItalia in Treviso.



"I want to dedicate this win to Paolo Fassa (of Fassa Bortolo), my injured teammate Guido Trenti and Pinarello, my bike sponsor", Petacchi told RAI-TV after the stage. With 8 stages to go, Petacchi has a chance to win 8 stages in this years Giro, potentially a post-war stage win record.
