13th today on Stage 17 from Brunico-Fondo Sarnonico, over 153 km, Dario Cioni of Fassa Bortolo continued his solid riding at this years Giro d'Italia aboard his Pinarello Dogma. Cioni is sitting in 8th overall, 4'31" behind Maglia Rosa Cunego.
With two tough mountain stages on Friday and Saturday where Cioni's lightweight magnesium frame Pinarello Dogma will come in handy, and hopes to maintain his top ten placing through Sunday's final Giro d'Italia stage.
Cioni's Fassa Bortolo teammate Alessandro Petacchi, already winner of an incredible 8 stages at this years Giro is hoping to get through the mountains and make it to Stage 20 in Milano, where Petacchi has an excellent chance to notch his 9th stage win of the 2004 Giro d'Italia aboard his magnesium frame Pinarello Dogma.
Cioni & Petacchi's Fassa Bortolo teammate Francesco Chicchi was 2nd today in the 173km Stage One of the Tour de Luxembourg from Luxembourg-Mondorf
